You know, I'm just not that interested in seeing the new Batman movie.
It's certainly had enough media publicity to get me thinking about it. And I've heard it's very good, from people whose opinions I trust.
But I don't much care if I ever see it.
I'm sure I will eventually. When it comes out on DVD, undoubtedly the husband and kids will rent it and I'll probably be in the room when they watch it, so I'll catch at least bits of it.
But, wow, I can't remember the last time I was this unexcited about a comic book movie.

Dark Knight is a must see for sure, though it might be a better game plant to go after the crowds die down a bit.
You know how people always say that in the Batman mythos, Gotham city isn't just a place but a character herself? This movie proves it.
What can one say about this film, but that this --- is not a superhero movie, but a crime saga of the same cloth as American Gangster and The Departed.
I definitely agree with the last comment. People who are describing The Dark Knight as "the best superhero movie EVER!!!" aren't describing the movie I saw. It's not a superhero movie. It's a dark crime thriller with a guy who occasionally dresses up in a bat suit.
This isn't a bad thing but the movie comes across a lot more like Law & Order/[insert Mob media here] than any Batman comic I've ever read. But then I've read mostly the Bob Haney and Grant Morrison stuff, so...
